Vase for weeds
Vase for Weeds began with the small cracks made by plants pushing through asphalt. I was interested in this ordinary urban detail as a sign of persistence: a place where fragile growth slowly changes a hard surface.
The crack was not drawn from imagination. It was 3D scanned from a real fissure, translated into clay, and finished with an asphalt-like glaze. The vase turns an overlooked condition into a vessel, giving weeds a setting that treats their resilience as something worth noticing.
